Themed around the look of tomorrow, the RWS Squad Party (aka dinner and dance) held at the Resorts World Ballroom on 3 and 4 April 2018 were two evenings of lights, music and laughs.
After a sumptuous buffet spread, featuring some dishes inspired by our celebrity chef restaurants, the guests (Team Members) enjoyed a few hours of performances, games and even lucky draws. Some highlights from the nights include songs by Olinda Cho, a techno-dance piece performed by RWS Senior Management, and the award ceremony for the 5 and 10-year long service recipients.
Here are some photos from the evenings.
The emcees in their imagined futuristic clothes. Not sure if that’s a future worth seeing…
Before lights out…
Techno-dance performance to kick off the evening.
Revealed. The performers include the RWS Senior Management.
The 5 and 10-year long service award recipients group photos, from each night.
Probably the best-dressed groupie of both evenings.
Olinda Cho takes the stage, belting out some popular tunes in her distinctly throaty voice.
The hardworking folks who took part in the games won prizes for the effort.
Another of the night’s entertainment – the squad battle.
The teams have their fans. At least one guy did.
The lip sync dance battle. Also what can be called the cross-dressing extravaganza.
We decided not to include the raunchiest part of this performance…
‘Bowling’ ball and pins after.
The other squad battle game – the human wrecking ball. A lot more like the human tottering pins.
