Know the Line: Have you crossed the line?

The national 2018 Responsible Gambling Awareness Week organised by Responsible Gambling Forum will be held from 5 to 13 April 2018.

RWS will host Responsible Gambling roadshows in our gaming venue to support the national event. During the roadshows, our Responsible Gambling (RG) Ambassadors, together with representatives from the Ministry of Social and Family Development will engage patrons in fun interactive games to raise awareness about responsible gambling among our patrons.

The theme of 2018 Responsible Gambling Awareness Week is “Have you crossed the line?”

Gambling should be treated as a form of entertainment only and not a way to earn money. Money and time spent on gambling should always within affordable limits. If find anyone around you in the following situations, it is likely that the person has crossed the line.

  • Constantly thinking and talking about gambling
  • Borrowing money for gambling
  • Neglecting family, work and health

The negative consequences of excessive gambling are not just financial but also other aspects of life. Help is always available for those who are affected. Call the National Problem Gambling Helpline 1800-6-668-668 or webchat at The services are free.

You too can play a part in helping to raise awareness to those around you about the danger of excessive gambling and the help services available.
