1,400 aRWSome Wishes came true

Christmas came early for 1,400 children beneficiaries and their families - when they got a sneak peek of Santa's All-Star Christmas and brought home presents on 4 Dec. Realised through aRWSome Wishes, this year saw Team Members collectively contributing more than $30,000 for the gifts. We also had the support of nine partner banks and organisations, such as MasterCard, who contributed to the funds as well as providing volunteers for the event.  

GHJ Gets Leaf Certification

Genting Hotel Jurong collects surface run-off and air-conditioning to be used as water for its greenery, and its plants are native to Jurong Lake District to help support wildlife in the area. For implementing such designs from the very start of the development process, in Nov 2015, Genting Hotel Jurong received the Landscape Excellence Assessment Framework (LEAF) certification, a sign of excellence in landscape design.

Hundreds Of Green Champs Supported Go Green Week 2015

More than 800 Team Members attended our inaugural Go Green Week at Bagus cafeteria on 12 and 13 November, which provides a fun avenue to promote our green initiatives and Reduce, Reuse and Recycling culture. Students Get Creative At Recycling Art Competition

Inspired by nature, students from 29 primary and 29 secondary schools took part in the first nationwide Recycling Art Competition. Organised by RWS in collaboration with Woodgrove Secondary School and supported by the National Environment Agency, the competition had students submit entries created from recyclable items such as plastic, cans, paper, and glass bottles. Children For Children Returns

Haze be gone! The Children For Children event finally took place on 17 November 2015, after being postponed from October due to the haze. 100 aRWSome Volunteers accompanied more than 700 primary school children to celebrate a belated Children’s Day in RWS.
